Janet Finch-Saunders AM has welcomed the announcement by the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer, that he will support business in north Wales through a pursuing the North Wales Growth Deal.
Janet said:
“The budget delivers for Wales, with £1.2 billion in additional funding, and north Wales, through the decision to pursue a North Wales Growth Deal.
“Recently, I spoke out on the fact that the Welsh Government needed to provide far more support to business in North West Wales so to improve confidence, investment, and wages. Whilst I remain disappointed with Cardiff Bay, I am delighted that Westminster has stepped up to the mark.
“The commitment by the Chancellor is likely to see millions of pounds being invested here, which should be of great benefit to business, and prosperity in our region”.
