Mae Janet yn falch o fod yn gyn-Faer Llandudno, swydd yr oedd ei mam a’i thad wedi ei gwneud gynt.
Yn wleidyddol, mae Janet yn canolbwyntio fwyaf ar sicrhau mwy o fuddsoddiad mewn iechyd a gwasanaethau cymdeithasol - yn enwedig ar gyfer yr henoed a’r rhai sydd â salwch iechyd meddwl; lleihau rheoleiddio a biwrocratiaeth i ffermwyr; sicrhau bod band eang cyflym iawn yn cael ei gyflwyno’n llawn mewn ardaloedd gwledig; a lleihau gwastraff ar bob lefel yn y Llywodraeth. Fel gwraig fusnes ac entrepreneur brwd, mae Janet wedi sefydlu nifer o fusnesau lleol llwyddiannus. Mae’n cefnogi busnesau newydd ac wedi sefydlu busnesau bach a chanolig, a Janet cychwynnodd y Grŵp Trawsbleidiol ar Siopau Bach yn ystod y Pedwerydd Cynulliad.
Mae Janet yn teimlo’n gryf iawn ynghylch anifeiliaid a chadwraeth forol ac mae’n hwylwraig frwd. Mae’n briod â Gareth Saunders, ac maen nhw’n byw yn Llandudno a chanddynt ddau o blant - Adam a Hannah.
