Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has praised Rev Dave Martin, St David's Church, for a memorable service on Sunday the 21st of January to celebrate its 100th Anniversary.
Although celebrating its 100-year anniversary, St David's has a history dating back to 1859 prior to the church being built. Since its construction, it has adapted and is currently a hub of activities throughout the year such as the "Messy Church" for children, quizzes, and advice sessions. Over the years, the St David’s has also enlarged its congregation hall, opened a coffee lounge, and improved accessibility to better respond to the needs of the members.
Speaking after the celebration and addressing the service, Janet said:
"I was particularly taken back by how splendid the church looked, and was honoured to be invited to speak on such a special occasion.
“It is clear that over the years, the St David's have managed to establish such a close-knit community.
“I am most grateful for the continued service that the church provides, and I look forward to visiting again very soon."
