Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has welcomed the news that Deganwy railway station is now a fixed stop, meaning that all trains are using the station.
The change comes following Janet’s cooperation with residents and Transport for Wales.
Commenting on the impact making Deganwy a fixed stop will have, Janet said:
“I am delighted that Transport for Wales have listened to me and the community.
“Deganwy is a beautiful community, with several fantastic attractions such as the wonderful shops, eateries, and castle!
“This change will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the number of people using the station.
“I am hopeful too that the barriers at the crossings do not have to be closed for as long a duration.”

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wedi croesawu'r newyddion bod Deganwy bellach yn arhosfan sefydlog, sy'n golygu bod pob trên yn defnyddio'r orsaf.
Daw'r newid ar ôl i Janet gydweithio â thrigolion lleol a Trafnidiaeth Cymru.
Wrth sôn am yr effaith y bydd gwneud Deganwy yn arhosfan sefydlog yn ei chael, dywedodd Janet:
"Rwy'n hynod falch bod Trafnidiaeth Cymru wedi gwrando arna i a'r gymuned.
"Mae Deganwy yn gymuned brydferth, gyda sawl atyniad gwych fel y siopau gwych, bwytai, a'r castell!
"Heb os, bydd y newid yma yn cael effaith gadarnhaol ar y nifer sy'n defnyddio'r orsaf.
"Rwy'n gobeithio hefyd na fydd yn rhaid cau'r rhwystrau wrth y croesfannau am gyfnod mor hir."
