Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, is encouraging as many people as possible to participate in the public consultation seeking views on the four short listed options for the active travel route between Llandudno Junction and Glan Conwy.
The consultation follows years of work by the Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, Conwy County Borough Council, and other stakeholders. This has included using the WelTAG process to identify a long list of 29 options, which has now been narrowed down to 4, for further consideration.
You can make your views known online and at the public information session being held at Church House, Church St, Glan Conwy, LL28 5ND, between 2pm – 7pm on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
Commenting on her long-term campaign to see a shared use path linking Glan Conwy and Llandudno Junction, Janet said:
“When I was a Cabinet Member on Conwy County Borough Council, in 2004, having a cycle route connecting Glan Conwy to Llandudno Junction was recognised as a priority.
“After years of work, organising meetings with key stakeholders, scrutinising the Welsh Government, and corresponding extensively with the Local Authority, I am pleased that we have reached a point where the public are being presented with four options.
“We have reached this stage knowing that there has been significant demand by local residents and families for the route to be completed, so I hope that as many as possible will take the time to look at the options and share their views.”
ENDS
Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, yn annog cymaint o bobl â phosibl i gymryd rhan yn yr ymgynghoriad cyhoeddus sy'n gofyn am farn ar y tri opsiwn byr sydd ar y rhestr fer ar gyfer y llwybr teithio llesol rhwng Cyffordd Llandudno a Glan Conwy.
Daw'r ymgynghoriad yn dilyn blynyddoedd o waith gan yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy, a rhanddeiliaid eraill. Mae hyn wedi cynnwys defnyddio'r broses WelTAG i nodi rhestr hir o 29 o opsiynau, sydd bellach wedi'i lleihau i 4 i'w hystyried ymhellach.
Gallwch fynegi’ch barn ar-lein ac yn y sesiwn wybodaeth gyhoeddus a gynhelir yn Church House, Stryd yr Eglwys, Glan Conwy, LL28 5ND, rhwng 2yp a 7yh ddydd Mercher 1 Chwefror 2023.
Wrth sôn am ei hymgyrch hirdymor i weld llwybr yn cael ei gyd-ddefnyddio i gysylltu Glan Conwy a Chyffordd Llandudno, dywedodd Janet:
"Yn 2004, pan oeddwn i'n Aelod Cabinet ar Gyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy, roedd cael llwybr beicio yn cysylltu Glan Conwy â Chyffordd Llandudno yn cael ei gydnabod yn flaenoriaeth.
"Ar ôl blynyddoedd o weithio, trefnu cyfarfodydd gyda rhanddeiliaid allweddol, craffu ar Lywodraeth Cymru, a gohebu'n helaeth â'r Awdurdod Lleol, rwy'n falch ein bod wedi cyrraedd pwynt lle bod pedair opsiwn yn cael ei gynnig i’r cyhoedd.
"Rydyn ni wedi cyrraedd y cam hwn gan wybod fod galw sylweddol wedi bod gan drigolion a theuluoedd lleol am gwblhau'r llwybr, felly rwy'n gobeithio y bydd cymaint â phosibl yn rhoi o’u hamser i edrych ar yr opsiynau a rhannu eu barn."
