Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, is delighted to have been asked to continue her work as Shadow Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs.
The Member was appointed by the new leader of the Welsh Conservatives in the Senedd, Andrew RT Davies MS. He was appointed with unanimous support of the Welsh Conservative group yesterday.
Commenting on the reshuffle, Janet said:
“Andrew is brilliantly placed to lead Wales towards a new Welsh Government in May.
“His vast experience of holding the Minister for Health and Social Services to account on the health service and response to Covid-19, makes him the ideal man for the moment, and a powerful alternative to Mark Drakeford.
“After two decades of Welsh Labour control of Wales with their allies in Plaid Cymru and the Liberal Democrats, devolution in Wales deserves to be revitalised with Andrew as First Minister.
“I am honoured to have been asked to continue in my work as the Shadow Minister for Environment, Energy, and Rural Affairs. From Welsh farmers to floods, you can all be sure that I will continue to offer common sense solutions which has the best interest of the people impacted at heart”.
