Welsh Conservative Cllr Brian Bertola has won the Tudno Ward by-election for Llandudno Town Council.
Cllr Bertola was previously an Independent Town Councillor for the Ward, but narrowly lost his seat in May’s elections by just 7 votes.
His son, Cllr Antony Bertola, also sits on the Council, having gained his seat in the Craig-y-Don ward for the Welsh Conservatives in May.
Janet Finch-Saunders AM, Welsh Conservative Assembly Member for Aberconwy and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Local Government, said:
“I am absolutely delighted for Brian – this is a fantastic victory and thoroughly deserved following a hard fought campaign by his wonderful team.
“After narrowly missing out in May, Cllr Bertola’s long years of service to the town of Llandudno have, once again, been recognised by the electorate.
“I know Brian will continue to serve the people of Tudno Ward and Llandudno with the same dedication and commitment he has shown during his years as an Independent member, and am delighted that he has now been elected as a Welsh Conservative councillor.”
