Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has spoken of her delight at the fantastic food and service provided at the recent dinner she held at The Grand Hotel, Llandudno.
Mrs Finch-Saunders, who last year corresponded with Britannia Hotels about the reputation and condition of their iconic hotel in Llandudno, had previously met with Bob Down, Senior Operations Manager, Helen Reece, Area Manager Hotels and Holiday Parks, and Lee Jones, Director of Operations.
The team disclosed to the Member of the Welsh Parliament that the following investments are being made:
• Refurbishment of the ballroom (completed)
• Refurbishment of the 170 bedrooms (ongoing)
• £2.3million investment in upgrading the hearing system (completed)
• £3million on outside works (set to commence in March 2025)
Recognising the effort being made to transform the hotel, the Member was pleased to hold a dinner at the venue during the festive holiday.
Commenting after holding the evening event, Janet said:
“I would like to congratulate Lee Shea, Head Chef, and all the team at The Grand, for the superb food and service provided at the recent dinner I hosted at the hotel.
“This iconic establishment is turning a corner, and I am pleased to be able to stand up and praise the venue.
“£5m is being invested in infrastructure, the food is delicious, and views from the dining room outstanding!
“I look forward to seeing The Grand continue on what is an exciting journey for the establishment, our town, and region.”
