The Field Studies Centre at Rhyd-y-Creuau, Betws y Coed, has been praised for providing exceptional outdoor and nature inspired experiences to young people.
The Field Studies Council is now celebrating 80 years of delivering environmental education, welcoming muddy boots and the buzz of learning at their centres. To mark the occasion school residentials are being offered a 15% discount.
Rhyd-y-Creuau is popular with those wishing to explore the mountains and adventure activities of the Eryri/Snowdonia National Park which surrounds the centre.
Speaking after visiting the centre, Janet said:
“I've had a fantastic visit, and been extremely impressed by the passion of all the team for providing exceptional environmental experiences to every single guest.
“From adventure days to a four day field work course on A level environmental science, there is an extensive range of nature inspired courses for children and young people.
“We are extremely fortunate to have such an exceptional centre of learning in Aberconwy. Should you be interest in your child attending, please let their school know that there is a 15% discount for some residentials.
“In a time of both a nature and climate crisis, it is more important than ever that our young people have the opportunity to learn as much as they can about the environment. I thank all at Rhyd-y-Creuau for making that possible”.
