Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has spoken of her delight having attended Llandudno’s Civic Sunday Service and Parade this weekend.
The Church service was beautifully led, with some fantastic music, including Calon Lân and the National anthems.
Following the service, there was a parade of all of Llandudno’s charity and voluntary organisations, and speeches.
This event is a wonderful display of civic pride every year, and is enjoyed by many.
Speaking of the event, Janet said,
“A big thank you to the team at the Town Council who put this fantastic event together. Thank you to the Reverend Janet Fletcher for a wonderful service, and to the superb organist Alan McGuiness for the beautiful music.
“It was lovely to see our voluntary organisations march in the parade, including all divisions of the Scout Association, members of the RNLI and the Training Corps.
“Thank you to our Mayor Greg Robbins, and Mayoress Debbie, our Town Clerk Tessa Wildermoth, all of our Councillors, and to Dr Mark Baker for his fantastic speech. I also thoroughly enjoyed hearing from the Wing Commander Chris Bell from RAF Valley about all the important work they are doing.
“I thoroughly enjoyed both the parade and the service.”
Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, wedi sôn am ei balchder ar ôl mynychu Gwasanaeth a Pharêd Dydd Sul Dinesig Llandudno y penwythnos hwn.
Arweiniwyd gwasanaeth yr Eglwys yn hyfryd, gyda cherddoriaeth wych, gan gynnwys Calon Lân a'r anthemau Cenedlaethol.
Yn dilyn y gwasanaeth, cafwyd gorymdaith o holl sefydliadau elusennol a gwirfoddol Llandudno, ac areithiau pellach.
Mae'r digwyddiad yn arddangosfa wych o falchder dinesig bob blwyddyn, ac mae llawer yn ei fwynhau.
Wrth siarad am y digwyddiad, meddai Janet,
"Diolch o galon i'r tîm yn y Cyngor Tref a drefnodd y digwyddiad gwych hwn. Diolch i'r Parchedig Janet Fletcher am wasanaeth hyfryd, ac i'r organydd gwych Alan McGuiness am y gerddoriaeth ardderchog.
"Roedd yn hyfryd gweld ein mudiadau gwirfoddol yn gorymdeithio yn y parêd, gan gynnwys pob adran o Gymdeithas y Sgowtiaid, aelodau'r RNLI a'r Corfflu Hyfforddi.
"Diolch i'n Maer Greg Robbins, a'r Faeres Debbie, Clerc y Dref Tessa Wildermoth, ein holl Gynghorwyr, ac i Dr Mark Baker am ei araith wych. Fe wnes i hefyd fwynhau clywed gan yr Is-gyrnol dain Chris Bell o RAF Fali am yr holl waith pwysig maen nhw'n ei wneud.
"Fe wnes i fwynhau'r parêd a'r gwasanaeth yn fawr iawn."
