Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy is honoured to address the Conservative Conference tomorrow here in Conwy.
During the two day event Janet will take centre stage to welcome esteemed party members and organisations to the Conference in the beautiful Welsh enclave of Llandudno. She will highlight that the last quarter of a century of Welsh Labour has resulted in farcical policies, fanatical thinking and abject failure.
Janet has commented saying:
“I am absolutely delighted to be addressing Conference this week. It is also a pleasure to have it back in Llandudno – one of the prettiest of our seaside communities.
“In the last 12 years the Welsh Labour, Plaid Cymru buttressed, Welsh Government have wreaked havoc for health care, education and transport. We have seen shocking levels of waiting times cross Wales, with four times as many residents waiting more than a year for treatment compared to those in England. Our education sector is on its knees with head teachers and pupils alike crying out for support, and a rail and bus network that has become so fractured and intermittent that Welsh commuters roll the dice every day on whether they’ll get to complete their journey. It has forced many to revert to the car, which might have been a solution if the Welsh Government wasn’t trying to besiege motorists with blanket 20mph speed limits.
“It is a great shame that I have to highlight the dire state we find our country in. The last term’s cooperation agreement between Welsh Labour and Plaid Cymru has been unfathomably damaging. We have seen a complete attack on tourism – the introduction of a tourism tax, the 182-day rule for self-catering accommodation, a shoddy licensing scheme, the slashing of business rate support and the cutting of days pop-up campsites can be in operation.
“We also have a failing health sector leaving patients in agony and confusion. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has been in and out of special measures, treated like some sort of political football by the Welsh Government, leaving it now ineffective and broken. Only yesterday I had to contact Out of Hours for a constituent who had been unsafely discharged.
“Most recently our farmers are facing the wrath of the Socialist/Nationalist cooperation agreement. I was absolutely shocked to hear Mark Drakeford trivialise the farmers protesting yesterday, asking if they had ‘nothing better to do’ than fight for their livelihoods. I have since written to the First Minister asking for an apology and for him to acknowledge the cost his Government is having on farming.
“The Welsh Government have now made Welsh food security an immediate problem in Wales with the implementation of boundaries, constraints and regulations that will cripple our farmers and produces. The Sustainable Farming Scheme is ludicrous. Forcing our famers through financial levers to get the Welsh Government to their own Net Zero target is daft and insulting.
“Enough is enough – Welsh Labour need to stop meddling and interfering. Do they not trust us? All I see is a shambolic 25 years of an overbearing nanny state with politicians that think they know better than the people of Wales. We need to empower the Welsh people, not treat them like squandering subjects. Only the Welsh Conservatives can bring in the dynamism and dedication to the heart of government that will drive through organic and honest change that reflects the will of Wales.”

Mae Janet Finch-Saunders, yr Aelod o’r Senedd dros Aberconwy, yn falch iawn o gael annerch Cynhadledd y Ceidwadwyr Cymreig yfory yma yng Nghonwy.
Yn ystod y digwyddiad deuddydd o hyd bydd Janet yn cymryd y llwyfan i groesawu aelodau uchel eu parch y blaid a sefydliadau i'r Gynhadledd yn nhref glan môr enwog Llandudno. Bydd hi'n tynnu sylw at y ffaith bod y chwarter canrif diwethaf gyda Llafur Cymru wrth y llyw wedi arwain at bolisïau gwirion, syniadau gwallgof a methiant llwyr.
Dywedodd Janet:
“Rwy'n falch iawn o gael annerch y gynhadledd yr wythnos hon. Mae'n bleser hefyd croesawu'r gynhadledd yn ôl i Landudno - un o'n cymunedau glan môr prydferthaf.
“Yn ystod y 12 mlynedd diwethaf mae Llywodraeth Lafur Cymru, gyda chymorth Plaid Cymru, wedi creu hafoc gyda'n gofal iechyd, addysg a thrafnidiaeth. Rydyn ni wedi gweld amseroedd aros sobor o hir ar draws Cymru, gyda phedair gwaith yn fwy o drigolion yn aros mwy na blwyddyn am driniaeth o gymharu â Lloegr. Mae ein sector addysg ar ei liniau gyda phenaethiaid a disgyblion fel ei gilydd yn ymbil am gymorth, a rhwydwaith rheilffyrdd a bysiau mor druenus ac annibynadwy nes na all cymudwyr yng Nghymru fod yn sicr o un diwrnod i'r llall y byddan nhw'n cyrraedd pen y daith. Mae wedi gorfodi llawer i ddychwelyd i ddefnyddio'u ceir, a byddai hynny wedi gallu datrys y broblem pe na bai Llywodraeth Cymru yn ceisio cosbi modurwyr â therfynau cyflymder 20mya.
“Mae'n drueni mawr bod yn rhaid i mi dynnu sylw at y sefyllfa enbyd rydyn ni ynddi fel gwlad. Mae cytundeb cydweithio y tymor diwethaf rhwng Llafur Cymru a Phlaid Cymru wedi bod yn niweidiol tu hwnt. Rydyn ni wedi gweld ymosodiad ar dwristiaeth - cyflwyno treth dwristiaeth, y rheol 182 diwrnod ar gyfer llety hunanarlwyo, cynllun trwyddedu diddim, cwtogi cymorth ardrethi busnes a lleihau nifer y diwrnodau y gall safleoedd gwersylla dros dro fod ar waith.
“Mae gennym hefyd sector iechyd sy'n methu sy'n gadael cleifion mewn poen a dryswch. Mae Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr wedi treulio cyfnodau o dan fesurau arbennig, gan gael ei drin fel rhyw fath o bêl-droed gwleidyddol gan Lywodraeth Cymru, gan ei adael yn aneffeithiol ac wedi torri. Dim ond ddoe bu'n rhaid i mi gysylltu â'r Gwasanaeth y Tu Allan i Oriau ar ran etholwr a oedd wedi cael ei ryddhau o'r ysbyty'n anniogel.
“Yn fwyaf diweddar ein ffermwyr sy'n wynebu lach cytundeb cydweithio y Sosialwyr/Cenedlaetholwyr. Cefais sioc o’r mwyaf o glywed Mark Drakeford yn bychanu'r ffermwyr yn protestio ddoe, yn gofyn a oedd ganddyn nhw 'ddim byd gwell i'w wneud' nag ymladd dros eu bywoliaeth. Ers hynny rydw i wedi ysgrifennu at y Prif Weinidog yn gofyn am ymddiheuriad ac iddo gydnabod y gost y mae ei Lywodraeth yn ei chael ar ffermio.
“Mae Llywodraeth Cymru bellach wedi gwneud diogeled bwyd Cymru yn broblem ddybryd yng Nghymru gyda gweithredu ffiniau, cyfyngiadau a rheoliadau a fydd yn parlysu ein ffermwyr a'n cynnyrch. Mae'r Cynllun Ffermio Cynaliadwy yn chwerthinllyd. Mae rhoi ein ffermwyr drwy'r felin i gael cymorthdaliadau er mwyn galluogi Llywodraeth Cymru i gyflawni ei tharged Sero Net ei hun yn wirion a sarhaus.
“Digon yw digon - mae angen i Lafur Cymru roi'r gorau i fusnesu ac ymyrryd. Oes ganddyn nhw unrhyw ffydd ynom ni? Y cyfan wela i yw 25 mlynedd o wladwriaeth ormesol yn ein babïo, gyda gwleidyddion sy'n meddwl eu bod yn gwybod yn well na phobl Cymru. Mae angen i ni rymuso'r Cymry, nid eu trin fel taeogion afradlon. Dim ond y Ceidwadwyr Cymreig all ddod â'r egni a'r ymroddiad i galon y llywodraeth a fydd yn sicrhau newid organig a gonest sy'n adlewyrchu ewyllys Cymru.”
