Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, has launched a survey asking for views on state funded home energy improvements.
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme is a government initiative that provides grants to help households in Great Britain make their homes more energy efficient.
Further to several concerns being raised with regards to the standard of work, and lack of accountability, Mrs Finch-Saunders has launched a survey so to hear the views of residents.
Commenting on the ECO4 scheme, Janet said:
“It is apparent from several constituents that some taxpayers funded home improvements are not being completed to acceptable standards.
“Only recently, I know of a constituent who was left with a heat pump which flooded the decking.
“What alarms me the most is that there seems to be absolutely no accountability for how taxpayers money is used, nor a clear route to redress. It is the wild west!”
