Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy is working hard to get mobile phone reception restored to the Conwy Valley.
Residents and businesses across the Conwy Valley, from Betws-y-Coed to Trefriw, have been experiencing significant disruption due to a mobile signal outage that has persisted since Friday.
Customers on VOXI, Vodafone, and O2 have reported little to no signal, leaving many unable to make calls, send messages, or access mobile data.
Commenting Janet said:
“I have been in touch with Vodafone, who have confirmed that the nearest serving sites have been down since 31st January due to a transmission issue.
“This appears to be linked to planned work and is currently affecting four sites locally. They are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, though no specific timeframe for restoration has been provided.
“While they have not yet provided a timeframe for resolution, I will continue to press for updates and will inform constituents as soon as more information becomes available.
“I understand the frustration this is causing, particularly for those who rely on mobile connectivity for work, emergencies, and staying in touch with family and friends.
“I urge the network providers to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and to keep affected customers informed.
“If you are experiencing ongoing issues, please do let me know so I can continue to raise this with Vodafone and ensure that they recognise the full impact of this outage on our communities.”
