Residents of Aberconwy have participated in a free lifesaving course in Llandudno.
The event, which took place on Friday 15 November, was hosted by Janet Finch-Saunders, Member of the Welsh Parliament for Aberconwy, and Sophie, from St John Ambulance.
The 2 hour course saw attendees learn how to put an individual into the recovery position, undertake CPR on people of all ages, and use defibrillators.
Commenting after the course, Janet said:
“I would like to thank Sophie and St John Ambulance for giving their time and sharing their knowledge with us all.
“With an average of 14 admissions to hospitals in Wales every day because of heart attacks, there is a real possibility that any of us may have to put the techniques we have learnt into action.
“It would be completely natural to panic in such a crisis, so I hope that the session has given us all the confidence to know how best to respond should we need to step in and try to save a life.”
